Workshop1.
A studio, connected.

Software for a self-service podcast studio in Leeds. The booking experience and the room need to work together.

Visit Workshop1

A booking is only the beginning.

Members need to choose a session, manage their membership and know what to do when they arrive. The room needs a clear view of who is booked and how much time is left.

Workshop1 brings those parts into one product, with a member dashboard, subscription billing and a separate in-room console.

The member’s side

Registration and onboarding lead into a dashboard for bookings and membership details. Availability and booking rules belong in the same system as billing, so members have one place to manage their studio time.

The studio’s side

The console is designed for the room: upcoming sessions, a named greeting and remaining time. Door-access integration connects booking permissions to arrival.

The studio’s recording setup includes Sony FX30 cameras, RØDECaster equipment and Shure microphones. Members take their recordings away on an SD card.

What this work involves

Product decisions, interface design, application code and the boundaries between software and physical equipment. Those boundaries need explicit testing with the hardware before they can be relied on in a session.
